Simple radiation systems, scattering and diffraction, multipole fields, magneto-ionic theory, application formula, dispersion and absorption, QL and QT propagation, HF propagation characteristics, MUF calculations, optimum working frequency, ray paths, Faraday rotation, signal strength and absorption, focussing, polarization and fading, VHF propagation, scattering.

Assessment includes assignments and examination.
